Halloween

We had such a great Halloween this year.  The girls really loved dressing up, and my parents came in town to help us celebrate.  It rained ALL day on Saturday, but by 5 o'clock the weather cleared up, and it was perfect trick or treating weather.  Our street had a pot luck in our neighbor's driveway and all handed out candy together which was so fun.  The Rohlings came over too so Jackson could trick or treat with the girls.  Below are gobs of pictures of our two cuties in their costumes.

Lila the Lady Bug and Addie was adamant that she wanted to dress up like Elsa.  They were both so precious.

Beautiful queen

Lila was very in to the candy.  She ate right through a package of M&M's when I wasn't looking and had a completely blue mouth.

Yea!!!

Most of our neighborhood sits out in the their front yards to hand out candy.  It is all very festive and fun for the kiddos.

Lila wanted in on all the action.  She followed the big kids around all night.

Fighting to get down.  She didn't want to be carried.  Running is more her style.  :)

I was fixing Ad's hair for Halloween and was going to braid both sides, but she INSISTED that Elsa only had 1 braid, and she wanted her hair just like Elsa's.  haha

She loved these witches in one of the neighbors yards

More candy

All done trick or treating and cozy in our monster jammies.  All signs of a successful Halloween.

I hope you all had a very Happy Halloween!!

Chili Cook Off

On October 30th, the building mgmt. company where we office hosted their 2nd annual chili cook off for all the tenants.  We were the defending champs so we gathered our team and our chili supplies and set out for a fun morning of cooking.  Unfortunately, we had to relinquish our crown, but we did get 1st place for most creative booth with our hunting theme.  All in all, it was a great team event, and we all got to enjoy some yummy chili in the beautiful October weather.  Not bad for a day's work.

October Other

Below are some other random events/pictures I wanted for my "scrapbook" in October.

Ad helped me make all the cookies for Aunt Jenn's baby shower.  She loves to help in the kitchen, and I love making memories in the kitchen so it's a win win.

This picture reminds me of Cody when he was a kid.  One paci in the mouth and a back-up in her hand.

My mom brought my rod-iron doll stroller from when I was a little girl to our house.  I had a few dolls sitting in it in Ad's room, but the girls have decided to put it to use giving Lila rides around the house.  They have gotten a lot of miles out of this game.

Fun at the neighborhood park.

Fell asleep on the way to school

Lila loves her breakfast.  She gets so excited to go eat it every morning when we get to school.

Feeding peacocks with Jackson

Jason got Ad a balance bike so they have been practicing with it on our street.

My friend Melissa is pregnant with her first baby, and I am sooooo excited for her and Joseph.  They had a gender reveal party in October and found out they are having a.......

BOY!!

Lila was under the weather for about a week in October and was extra sleepy.  This night she fell asleep at 5:45 and couldn't even wait to be put in bed.

Feeling better and happy

Ad's class celebrated their 50th day of school with a 50's party complete with costumes and root beer floats.  I got her this purple (her favorite color) poodle skirt, and she absolutely LOVED it.

I sent a few decorations for the class to their room would be festive for the party.

Love this sweet girl!
