Voted!

After watching all three of the presidential debates, Addie and I went to vote last week.  She felt very strongly about exercising her civic duty, and who am I to deny her her right to vote.  :)  We ended up waiting in line for over 30 minutes to early vote, and she was so good the entire time.  She got lots of attention from the other voters in line, and it ended up being a fun outing.

Hmmm....should I vote for Romney/Ryan or Obama/Biden.

Busy being precious

Addison visits Aggieland

Jason had his annual mancation last weekend for the A&M/LSU football game so Addie and I decided to go to College Station as well to visit Charlie, Kelsey and the girls.  It was so fun to let our girls meet each other and catch up.  Our weekend in Aggieland looked a lot different that it was not too many years ago, but we had a great time nonetheless.  We took the girls to the park, for a stroller ride around the neighborhood and had lots of fun playing at the house.  Callie cracked me up and was so good entertaining "baby Addison".  She was so concerned about what toys she could play with and when she needed to nap, etc.  She even busted out singing "Jesus Loves Me" to Addie without being prompted.  It was precious.  Macie had grown so much since last time I saw her and was running around and talking up a storm.  With three kids three and under, we unfortunately did not take many pictures (I hate when I do that), but below are a couple to document the weekend.  Thanks Kels and Charlie for letting us come visit.  Can't wait to see ya'll again soon!

Addie 11 weeks

Callie-3.5

Macie- 22 months

The only pic of the three girls together.  Callie was the only one that was dressed for the day.

We had grand plans of taking pictures of the three girls in their Aggie gear on Saturday.  Addie was hungry and not feeling pictures so I fed her and she proceeded to spit up all over her dress so I had to change her and ditch the photo session,  Oh well.

Shoes!

Most people that know me know that I have a slight obsession for cute shoes.  They are fun to shop for and no matter how many cookies or enchiladas you have eaten, they always fit.  :)  I am afraid my love for shoes has carried over into the baby department.  My mom has bought Addie lots of cute little shoes that I am anxiously awaiting for her to grow in to.  One day when I was perusing the internet, I ran across these adorable gold ballet flats for Addison that I just could not pass up......and they were on sale!  I could eat her up in these.  I look forward to our shoe shopping adventures in the future.  Addie's daddy better hide the credit cards.  :)

Oh my cuteness!

Life Lately

This post is mostly for the grandparents and is just a hodge podge of pictures of our baby girl.

Hanging out with Kathy at Jax's soccer game

Playin in my jammies

Cheering on the Aggies

Preparing for my spy mission later...no big deal  (I took her dress off after Jackson's bday party, and she was left in the all black that was underneath.  Jason and I were cracking up laughing all night at her.  She just needed a pair of black sunglasses, and she would be ready for the FBI.  haha)

We went for a walk at Memorial Park.

Holding her head up so well now.

Cale was in town last weekend and came to hang out with us for a few hours on Saturday.

Addie loves her Uncle Cale!

Meeting her friend Kinley.  She liked her much more than this picture shows.  haha

Super Mario

Yesterday Jason, Addie and I attended Jackson's 6th birthday party.  It was a Super Mario party complete with a bouncy house, pinata and lots of yummy food.  The weather was amazing, and a good time was had by all.  Happy Birthday Jackson!!!

Jax dressed as Mario for Halloween last year so they had his picture put on the cake.  Too cute!

2 Months

At the doctor.  Poor baby had to get 1 oral vaccine and 3 shots in her legs.  She cried pretty hard but calmed down fairly quickly.  I think it was harder on me than her.  After her shots, she napped from about 10:45am-6:30pm just waking to eat and get her diaper changed a couple times.  I think her traumatic morning wiped her out.

On October 2nd, Addison turned 2 months old.  She had a dr's appt, and her stats are below:

Weight:  11 lbs 6 oz  (~50th percentile)
Height:  23 inches (~80th percentile)
Head:  15 inches (~40th percentile)

At 2 months, Addison.....
-  is wearing mostly 0-3 months clothes and jammies and wears a size 1 diaper.
-  is nursing every 2-3 hours during the day and is sleeping anywhere from 5-7 hours at night.
-  has taken a few bottles of breast milk and is not phased at all.  Jason has given her a few, and I have given her one.  Baby girl loves to eat and doesn't seem to care how she gets it.
-  is smiling and cooing all the time now which is so rewarding and fun.
-  is holding her head up really well and is getting much better at tummy time.
-  knows her mama.  I can finally tell that she definitely knows who I am, and sometimes I am the only one that can calm her down.  I secretly love it.
-  has started sleeping in her pack and play in our room and is doing really well.
-  loves to be up high on your shoulder so she can look all around.
-  still LOVES her bath.  We still bathe her on a sponge on top of the counter.
-  took her first plane ride and had her first trip to church.

Happy 2 month birthday baby girl  Your mama and daddy love you so very much and feel so blessed you are part of our family!!

Addie Pics

While we were in Harlingen, my mom had one of her friends Claudia Farr come take pictures of Addie.  They turned out super cute.  We were not planning to be in any of the pictures, but she was snapping away as we were trying to calm Addison down between shots.  Despite not having lipstick on and messy hair, these pics are so special.  Thanks Claudia!!!
