Just Because

Just some random pics of my cuties that didn't fit into any other posts.

Labor Day Weekend

My parents came in town for labor day weekend, and we had both a productive and fun weekend.  Mom helped me clean out my closet and decorate my house for fall (thanks Mom!).  We also took the girls to play at the park, went to the Aggie football game and enjoyed time as a family.  I am so very grateful that my parents make the effort to always come up and see my kids.  I love that they have such a great relationship with their Mimi and Papaw.

Lila is the dessert Queen...bad I know.  She gets sooooo excited to eat dessert.

She would just wait with her mouth wide open for ice cream.  It was hilarious.

Our little diva

Playing with Mimi at the park

Addie loves to clean.  I hope she still loves it in a few more  years.  :)

Jogging with Mimi

When we were out walking, we spotted this 12th man and had to take a quick pic.

The Aggies played ASU at reliant on Saturday evening so we got a babysitter and went with my parents to the game.  It was a great game...esp since the Aggies came out with a victory.  We were cracking up the whole game bc my dad was wearing his heart rate monitor, and he was so nervous his heart rate was getting as high as when he was out jogging that morning.  haha

Saying by to Mom and Dad on Sunday

Sunday afternoon, Deanna picked Ad up and took her to the mall as a reward for doing so well on the potty.  She picked out a T-Rex at build-a-bear as well as some other goodies at the shoe store and Disney store.  She loves going to the mall with Nana.

Monday, Jason and I headed to the garden center to get some plants to update our flower beds.  I also bought some pretty yellow mums in anticipation of fall.  I just love seeing these by my door and cant wait to add a few pumpkins around them next month.

That TIme When We Lost our Good Sense and Bought a Boat

I know many people say that the two best days of owning a boat are the day you buy it and the day you sell it, but so far, I have to disagree.  We have all (particularly Jason) been wanting a boat to have up at the lake house for a while, and this summer we finally pulled the trigger with Jenn and Skaife.  We are now all four owners of a new to us ski boat, and we are absolutely loving it.  Addie has a blast riding the boat, and I know we will all make such good memories over the years out on the water.  Somehow, I don't have any pictures of the boat itself, but the below pics are from the first weekend we got to go up and put the boat to use.

Ready to hit the water

First ride was a success

Poor Lila got a virus and had super swollen eyes all weekend.  Poor baby.  Luckily she was still so happy.

Making unloading from the lake look fun.

Monday morning brought a trip to the doctor for the little bean.

Fortunately, they said it was just a virus, and by Tuesday, she was back in business.

Firetrucks, Babies and Other Weekend Fun

In order to try and round out the month of August on the blog (since September is just about over), I am doing a big picture dump below.  Enjoy!

These precious sisters love each other so much.  The other night, I randomly asked Addie what her favorite thing is in the whole wide world, and her response was "playing with Lila."  It just doesn't get much sweeter than that.

Ad giving Lila a ride in the wagon

Just a little picnic in the ball pit.

Heading to the pool

Lila enjoying her breakfast

This little girl is obsessed with the swing.  She begs to be picked up and then points at the back door to go outside.  She would stay in this thing for hours if we let her.

Sleepy head

Lila is a climber and is always so proud when she finds something new to scale.

Playing with the play doh ice cream parlor Uncle Cale gave her for her bday.

This little girl is standing and cruising all over the place now.  I would venture to say she is a full time walker.

Riding the giraffe and clapping to the music

Ad went to Pierce's bday party at the fire station and the park.  She had an absolute blast with her friends.

Addie, Wyatt and Charlie

I have been working my way through some of our closets and drawers the last few weeks trying to clean out.  While I was cleaning out my nightstand, the girls were "helping" in my closet.  This was literally moments after I had straightened all the shoes on my shelves.  Sigh.

Our friends Dan and Monica welcomed a sweet new addition to their family in August as well.  I had to go by and meet baby Marin.  She is just precious, and we could not be more excited to welcome her to our clan.

Sweet baby.  I know it won't be long before she is running around with Jackson and our girls.

Sleeping baby.  Love this girl so much.
