The weekend before Lila's birthday, we had a little birthday party to celebrate our baby turning 1! I decided not to do huge birthday parties for the girls this year and let our weekend in San Antonio (post coming soon) serve as their birthday celebrations, but I couldn't stand not to do anything for Lila's first birthday. We decided to have a pool party at Deanna and Jim's house and just invite the family over for burgers and swimming. We ended up having a great day celebrating our girl. Thanks Deanna and Jim for letting us invade your back yard. Happy Birthday Lila Bean. We are so blessed you are part of our family and love you so very much!
I printed a picture of each month of Lila's first year to hang on the wall at the party. It is so fun to see how much she has grown and changed throughout the year.
Celebrating the survival of the first year with two crazy kiddos. I couldn't be more blessed.
Pool time! I bought several beach balls and ducks and fish to float around in the pool to make these a little more festive and fun.
Lila LOVED her cake. She ate fistfuls at a time until I finally cut her off. She was COVERED in buttercream frosting and just happy as a clam.
Big sister decided to join in and help. They made a pretty large dent. :)
