Super Mario

Yesterday Jason, Addie and I attended Jackson's 6th birthday party.  It was a Super Mario party complete with a bouncy house, pinata and lots of yummy food.  The weather was amazing, and a good time was had by all.  Happy Birthday Jackson!!!

Jax dressed as Mario for Halloween last year so they had his picture put on the cake.  Too cute!

2 Months

At the doctor.  Poor baby had to get 1 oral vaccine and 3 shots in her legs.  She cried pretty hard but calmed down fairly quickly.  I think it was harder on me than her.  After her shots, she napped from about 10:45am-6:30pm just waking to eat and get her diaper changed a couple times.  I think her traumatic morning wiped her out.

On October 2nd, Addison turned 2 months old.  She had a dr's appt, and her stats are below:

Weight:  11 lbs 6 oz  (~50th percentile)
Height:  23 inches (~80th percentile)
Head:  15 inches (~40th percentile)

At 2 months, Addison.....
-  is wearing mostly 0-3 months clothes and jammies and wears a size 1 diaper.
-  is nursing every 2-3 hours during the day and is sleeping anywhere from 5-7 hours at night.
-  has taken a few bottles of breast milk and is not phased at all.  Jason has given her a few, and I have given her one.  Baby girl loves to eat and doesn't seem to care how she gets it.
-  is smiling and cooing all the time now which is so rewarding and fun.
-  is holding her head up really well and is getting much better at tummy time.
-  knows her mama.  I can finally tell that she definitely knows who I am, and sometimes I am the only one that can calm her down.  I secretly love it.
-  has started sleeping in her pack and play in our room and is doing really well.
-  loves to be up high on your shoulder so she can look all around.
-  still LOVES her bath.  We still bathe her on a sponge on top of the counter.
-  took her first plane ride and had her first trip to church.

Happy 2 month birthday baby girl  Your mama and daddy love you so very much and feel so blessed you are part of our family!!

Addie Pics

While we were in Harlingen, my mom had one of her friends Claudia Farr come take pictures of Addie.  They turned out super cute.  We were not planning to be in any of the pictures, but she was snapping away as we were trying to calm Addison down between shots.  Despite not having lipstick on and messy hair, these pics are so special.  Thanks Claudia!!!

Visiting Mimi and Papaw

Last week, Addie and I flew down to Harlingen to visit the fam and hang out.  It was a great trip and so fun to get away.  We had a busy week visiting Mimi at school, going up to the farm to visit my grandparents, attending a luncheon, having the family over for burgers, going to church, shopping, etc.  We had such a fun time, but as always, it went by way too fast.

 Heading to the airport
First plane ride.  Addie did AWESOME on the plane.  She just looked around and took it all in.  She never made a peep which I'm sure the other passengers appreciated.  I was so proud.

Grandma made a delicious lunch on Friday so Cale, Addie and I headed up to the farm to join.  I couldn't believe how many windmills have gone up since the last time I was in the Valley.

Addison and her great-grandma.

My mom attended a luncheon with some of my mom's friends from church.  Aunt Cheryl got some Addie love while we were there.

The grandbabies of my mom's friends.
Charlotte (5 weeks), Addison (8 weeks), Harper (4 months) and Savanna (7 months)

Addie found her thumb while we were in Harlingen.  Looks like she may be a thumb sucker like her mama was.

Addison's first church service at CFC.  She did great and really enjoyed the music.

Cale came down to hang out with us.  He was so precious with Addie.  They had lots of play time, and Addison is pretty in love with her Uncle Cale.

Papaw and his girl

Addie really loves to be way up high on your shoulder now so she can look around.

Thanks Mimi and Papaw for letting us invade your house for a week.  We had a great time and are already looking forward to the next trip!
