On Friday, Addison and I headed in to my office so I could introduce her to my co-workers. It was great to see everyone and so fun to show off our baby. Addie behaved pretty well while we were there, and it felt good for both of us to get out of the house. I thought she looked beyond precious for our visit....although I do realize I am quite biased. I didn't take any pictures in the office unfortunately, but I did snap a few of Addie to document the occasion.

Walkin' in High Cotton
As summer is coming to an end, I wanted to document the successful year my family had on the farm. I love everything about the harvest and have so many memories growing up taking meals to the field, riding the combine and buggy and playing in the cotton trailers. My dad and uncles are some of the most hard-working people I know, and I am so thankful that God gave them a good crop this year.

Love this picture of the windmills on our land and a double rainbow.

Mom and Grandpa share a b-day and usually celebrate out in the fields. This year, they were able to have a night off so my mom hosted the family at their house. Love these two!

Labor Day Weekend
We spent Labor Day weekend with my entire family this year. It was the first time we had all been together since Christmas, and it was so great to see everyone. Cody arrived Thursday evening, and the rest of the crew joined us on Friday. Addie was spoiled with lots and lots of love and attention. We took family pictures on Saturday morning and then headed out to Katy to introduce Addison to my grandparents. She is their 18th great-grandchild, and it was so special to see them together. The weekend was filled with yummy food, lots of football and tons of quality family time. I couldn't have asked for anything more!
First trip to the grocery store and first time to ride in her stroller. She slept the entire time. :)

Not sure how I didn't get a picture of Addison and Uncle Cale, but Addie was definitely happy to see him again as well. Thanks to my family for all making the long drives to come visit us. We love ya'll!!

One Month
On September 2nd, Addison turned one month old. She has definitely grown and changed so much since we brought her home from the hospital. We are totally and completely in love with our little girl. At one month old, Addie
- weighs about 10.5 lbs. (she doesn't have her next dr's appt til 2 months)
- is wearing size 1 diapers, some newborn and some 0-3 month clothes.
- sleeps with her hands up by her face, and it is just the cutest thing I have ever seen.
- nurses about every 3 hours during the day and every 4-5 hours at night now.
- is starting to have longer periods of being awake and is learning to make new noises (She smacked her lips so loud the other day, and it startled her bc she didn't know where it came from. Jason and I just died laughing.)
- is making much more eye contact and will follow objects with her eyes.
- doesn't love tummy time, but she is doing it for longer stretches each day.
- likes to play on her activity mat.
- LOVES her bath.
- has been fussier at night before bed the last week or so, but once she goes down she sleeps really well.
- likes to lay on her changing table. When she is really fussy, that is one of the few things that calms her down.

Newborn Pictures
My good friends Katy and Monica were nice enough to take Addison's newborn pictures when she was a little over two weeks old. Addie was not as grateful as I was and was super fussy through most of the shoot. In her defense, I woke her up from her morning nap to give her a bath and changed her outfit one too many times for her liking. Despite the many meltdowns, my super talented friends got some pictures that I just love and know I will treasure. I could not decide which ones I wanted to post so prepare for picture overload.
