4th of July fell on a Monday this year so we took full advantage of a long weekend by spending Friday-Sunday at the lake and were still able to take part in all of our neighborhood festivities on the 4th. It was truly the best of both worlds. I have said for a long time that 4th of July is my favorite holiday bc there is little stress, yummy food and a full day of summer fun with friends and family.
We "slept in" on Friday morning and Lila was snuggled right on top of me the entire time.
We also had to get some festive nails before starting our weekend.
The weekend was filled with fishing, tubing, water balloon fights, eating and lounging around the lake.....aka a perfect weekend in my book.

Daddy and his girls heading down to the boat house.
Z helped me make my traditional flag cake.

The Attaways came up for the day on Saturday and joined in on the fun. William was so excited to catch this fish but wanted to make sure it didn't get too close once he reeled it in.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
Ready for the festivities
I was in charge of the decorations at the pool for the neighborhood 4th of July celebration. The entire area was decked out in red, white and blue
All ready for the parade. Our neighborhood does a parade around the 'hood and then meets back at the pool for an all day pool party.
Everyone decorates their golf carts, bikes, wagons, etc. It is so festive and fun.
My girls!!
Monica and sweet Marin
Jackson rode his bike the whole way!
They had popsicles for all the kids after the parade.
Photo booth fun!
We had the best day swimming at the pool
We put Lila to bed, and I snuck out with Addie to meet up with friends to go see the fireworks. Unfortunately, we thought we could see them from the park behind our house but the trees blocked our view. We will know better for next year.
Chillin' with some of the neighbors
The moms!
Hope you each had a wonderful weekend celebrating our nation and our freedom!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
