Jason and I had a very relaxed 4th of July this year. We originally had a short weekend trip planned but decided last minute to cancel it and just hang out at home. We had been really busy and out of town quite a bit so it was a welcome break. On Saturday, we headed over to Jason's parents house and grilled. I made two different types of cole slaw and a flag cake for dessert. Jason's parents grilled sausage, steaks, fajitas and made baked potatoes. Everything was so yummy. Grandma Bev also came over and hung out with us. After dinner, Ray and Kem stopped by. The boys all headed to the car show while the girls stayed home with a bottle of wine. :) We spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out with family. It was not a normal 4th of July with water and sun, but it was wonderful to spend time as a family. I hope ya'll all had a memorable holiday weekend. I am so thankful to live in such an amazing country!! I was not good about taking pictures, but here are a few to document the weekend.

Jason's dad began his chemo treatments the Thursday before 4th of July weekend. Since he was told he would probably lose his hair, he decided to take the bull by the horn and shave it. I think he looks great with a buzz cut!
