3 Months- LDM

Lila is 3 MONTHS!

On October 13th, Lila turned 3 months old which is so hard to believe.  She is starting to be so much more alert and interact with us which is so fun.

 At 3 months, Lila.....

- is wearing mostly 0-3 months clothes and jammies and is wearing a size 1 diaper.
- is nursing every 2-3 hours during the day (when she is with me) and usually takes 3 4oz bottles during the day when she is at school.  She is sleeping about 8-9 hours at night in the rock n play in our room.  I usually put her down between 9:30-10pm and she wakes up between 6:30-7am.
-is losing her hair just like Addie did at this age.
- is smiling and cooing all the time and even almost laughs sometimes.
-loves to sit and stand.  I hold her hands when she is laying on her back and she can pull herself all the way up to standing.
- started school and is adapting really well.  Her teachers say she is doing great and does really well at playing on the mat.  She also loves her buggy rides at school and is always awake and taking in the scenery as long as they are moving.
-loves her big sister.  Addie is in her face and giving her hugs and kisses all the time, and Lila never seems to mind and gives her big smiles.
-is finally over her "fussy in the evenings" stage.  She really is such a good baby now and just goes with the flow.

Happy 3 month birthday baby girl!! We are loving this stage and watching you learn and grow every day.

Columbus Day

Addie and Lila's school was closed for Columbus Day on Monday and since Jason was out of town and I felt bad taking vacation on my second week back to work, Deanna kindly volunteered to keep the girls since the bank was also closed.  From the stories and pictures, it looks like the girls had such a fun day with their Nana.  She took them to Build a Bear, and Addie build herself a puppy.  She was telling me all about how she gave the puppy a bath and picked out the heart to put inside, etc.  She was so proud of her puppy and has been putting it to bed in its puppy bed each night.  They ate lunch at chick fil a and then rode the train at the mall.  Ad just thought it was the best day ever.  Thanks Nana!

They also visited the American Girl store

Apparently she remembered sharing an ice cream cone with me last weekend bc Deanna said she kept saying she wanted to lick the ice cream rather than use her spoon.  haha

Waving to the mall patrons

Miss Lila slept through the whole mall experience but she definitely looked cute doing it.

Weekend

Last Friday, Dad had a doctor's appointment in Houston so we decided to make a fun-filled weekend out of it.  Dad and Cale drove up Thursday night, and we just spent Friday hanging with the girls.  Saturday, Jenn and Jason babysat Addie and Lila, and Dad, Cale and I headed up to College Station to watch the Aggies play Ole Miss with Aunt Sherry and Kelly.  Despite the Aggies performance on the field, we had a great time tailgating and seeing the new and improved Kyle Field.  Since the game was so late, we didn't get back home and to bed til almost 3am.  It was WAY past my bedtime but definitely worth it. It was a great weekend and awesome to have help with the girls since Jason was out of town.

Ad was ready to Gig'em

We stopped by the pumpkin patch for just a bit since it was drizzling outside.  Ad wanted to get another pumpkin to decorate with Papaw.

Sweet Lila....I really think she looks like Addie as a baby here

We met up with Cody at the tailgate.  It was great to get to see him before the game.

Lila's First Day of School

On October 6th, I had to go back to work, and Lila had her first day of school.  She will be in the Kittens class with Mrs. Jeannette and Mrs. Maria (the same class Addie was in as an infant with the same teachers).  Jason and I adore her teachers and know she is in great hands.  Addie was so excited that Lila was going to school with her too.  Mrs. Jeannette said Lila had a great first day, and we are looking forward to seeing how much she learns and changes this year.  We love you sweet girl and hope you have the best year in the Kittens class!

Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch

Last weekend, Jason and I took the girls to Memorial Methodist Church's pumpkin patch so Addie could pick out a pumpkin to decorate.  Addie thought it was great fun and walked around picking up each pumpkin and saying "too heavy" until she found one just the right size.  She was soooo proud of it and even rode home with it securely in her lap.  It was a fun outing as a family on a beautiful fall morning, and who doesn't love some pictures of cute kiddos with pumpkins??

first attempt at a sister pic was a little off  :)

We bought some face stickers, and decorated our pumpkin on a blanket in the front yard.  The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we wanted to spend as much time as possible outside.
