God is great, Beer is good, People are crazy.

The first weekend in March, Jason and I went with Jenn, her boyfriend Jason, and some of their friends to the rodeo to see Billy Currington.  We started off the day by attending a charity crawfish bowl at Lucky's Pub before heading to the rodeo.  We had a great time.  Thanks Jenn for the invite.

Jason convinced us all to ride the Mega Drop before we left.  Here I am nervous in line.
Jenn's weary as well.....

Jason found some circa 1992 beach volleyball shades in the cab, so we wore them.

More Fun with Photoshop

I am still trying to learn the program and have a long way to go, but below was an attempt to edit a picture of the boathouse a couple different ways.  You can see the differences better if you click on the picture and make it bigger.

Straight from the camera

First attempt--I like this but almost think the colors are too bright??  Makes it look like it was a much brighter day than it really was.

Second attempt--A little better but not as sharp as I wanted.

Third attempt--I think this one is my favorite.  Brightens the colors just a bit and sharpened the picture.

Last attempt--I wanted to try something totally different.  I like the effect on this picture but don't really love it for the boathouse.  I like to be able to see the blue of the water.  The grass just blends into the water with this effect.

Rodeo Cookoff

It's that time of year again.  March=Rodeo in Houston.  The last weekend of February kicked off the Houston Rodeo with its annual BBQ cookoff.  Jason got some tickets from work so we headed up on Friday night with a group of friends.  We hung out at the Goodie Girls tent and ate some of the best chopped beef I have ever tasted along with many other meats and sides.  We had a great time eating, dancing to the live music, and just being with friends.  We even managed to ride several carnival rides before heading home.  Who says you can't act like a kid every now and then.  :)

This girl was dancing to one of the faster songs by herself so Jason stepped in.  We were all dying laughing the entire time.
